Hi! I'm Asmar Beyah and I go to Science Leadership Academy @Beeber (Class of 2018). I am 16 years old and I live in South Philadelphia. My favorite hobbies are playing basketball, playing the game, and going to sleep. I had a lot of ups and downs in my life. Recently, I lost one of the most important and inspirational person in my life.
My great grandmother passed away on March 21, 2016. She meant the world to me and she helped me through hard times. Whether it was finicial wise or if I just needed someone to talk to, she was always there for me no matter what. In 2013, I had to get open heart surgery and she was the main reason I fought for a fast and helathy recorvery. She was the first person in my family to have heart surgery and seeing how well she healed made me fight harder and harder each and every day.
